Unique architecture meets full equipment

Panor­amic views and privacy: enjoy the view through the large mirrored windows without having to sacri­fice your privacy. The mirrored glass prevents the view inwards during daylight hours and prac­tical curtains provide blackout protec­tion even on summer days of endless bright­ness. In addi­tion, the large skylight directly above the bed prom­ises a romantic night under the starry sky.

Pure relax­a­tion: A comfort­able double bed (160 x 200 cm) prom­ises restful nights.

Modern kitchen: Our open kitchen is equipped with everything you need - from a hob and fridge to a microwave and coffee machine. The basic kitchen equip­ment including pans, crockery and cutlery leaves nothing to be desired.

Cozy dining: A dining table with two chairs provides the perfect setting for shared meals.

Comfort­able bath­room: A modern bath­room with shower is at your disposal.

Amen­ities included: Bed linen, towels, free Wifi and a parking space directly at the cabin are included in the price.

How to get to your adventure

Our retreat is located just a short drive north of Búðardalur, surrounded by breath­taking land­scapes and the untouched nature of Iceland.

Your route: The accom­mod­a­tion is located approx. 5 minutes by car (approx. 7 km) north of Búðardalur and the access road is marked on road no. 60 with the sign “Ljársko­gaströnd”. From there you can follow the signs “Mystic Light Lodge” on the gravel road.

My name is Sif, I am an Icelandic Sheepdog, young, wild and bound­lessly curious. I explore the world with unbridled enthu­siasm. I espe­cially like walks in nature, splashing in the sea, cuddling with people, chewing toys and picking up sheep poop. I think rules are over­rated, but bribery with food is fine. My two-legged care­takers are Esther and Pierre, they have built up the Mystic Light Lodge in West Iceland with great passion and are keen to offer other two-legged creatures a wonderful exper­i­ence in a mirror house. They have given me the funny task of running a blog. My main task is to share a wide range of inform­a­tion about the Mystic Light Lodge, but also to tell personal stories about everyday life in the far north. Let me inspire you and keep you regu­larly updated about trav­el­ling and living in Iceland.
